Birdwell Beach Britches began in 1961, when Carrie Birdwell Mann started sewing purpose-built boardshorts for Southern California surfers. More than six decades later, the brand remains a surf icon because it has never abandoned the things that made those first shorts work: honest construction, lasting materials and the belief that “Quality is our Gimmick.”
Its classic boardshorts are still made in the USA from signature SurfNyl®, a tough, quick-drying fabric created for life in and out of the water. Tees and accessories carry that same unfussy California spirit beyond the lineup’s legendary trunks.
